I have also tried cooking chips.

I bought one of those mesh trays for cooking oven chips in.

This is how I cooked my chips:

First, I cut potatoes into chips, then I microwaved them for 10 minutes.

Preheat the Halogen oven for approx 5-10 mins, while chips are in microwave.

After that, I tossed in a little oil (any oil you like, I prefer olive oil), then spread them out on the mesh tray.

Next, place on the top rack of the oven, and cook for approx 15 mins at 250°C, turning halfway through.

Result, delicious, crispy chips!!
