Sausages with Cheese and Bacon
A old family favourite
Ingredients:
- 1 lb pork sausages
- 8 bacon rashers
- Cheese slices ( burger kind)
- 2 tbsp chutney or Branston pickle
Method:
Temp 190°C on low rack
Grill sausages until golden brown in colour
Make a slit 1/2 way through each sausage down the length
Put cheese in each slit
Add 1 tsp of chutney or pickle in between cheese slices
Wrap bacon round each sausage
Put back onto rack and cook until bacon is crispy and cheese has melted.
I turn sausages over 1/2 way during cooking to crisp both sides.
Other filling you can use are, ketchup, apple sauce etc
